TL;DR

  • A 20-slide sales deck runs about 320–1,320 at a per-slide service like 24Slides. Agencies start higher: Hype's packages begin at £1,900 for roughly 10 slides, and Stinson Design won't take projects under $1,500.
  • Freelance rates are all over the place, from $35 to $250 an hour.
  • If your team makes decks every month, price six months of work, not one deck. The cheapest option changes.
  • Before you hire anyone, ask for native editable files, a master template you own, and an NDA.
  • Templates and AI tools are fine for internal updates. Anything a client sees deserves a designer.

Try pricing presentation design services and you'll hit a wall pretty quickly. Half the companies that rank for the term say "contact us for a quote". The listicles are mostly written by agencies, and, funnily enough, each one ranks itself first.

We wanted actual numbers, so we went looking for published ones. We took a common job, a 20-slide sales deck built from your own content, and priced it five ways: templates and AI tools, a freelancer, a per-slide service, a specialist agency and a design subscription. We didn't commission five decks to do this. Every figure comes from the provider's own pricing page, or a source we link to, and all of it was checked on 20 October 2026.

A quick note on who this is for. If you're on a marketing, sales or agency team that turns out decks every month (webinars, client reports, sales decks, quarterly reviews), keep reading. If you're a founder getting ready to raise, our guide to unlimited presentation design for startups will suit you better.

What do presentation design services include?

Providers use different names, but nearly all of them sell some version of three jobs.

Fix up, redesign, or start from scratch

A fix up is a clean-up. The designer straightens the alignment, sorts out the fonts and spacing, and gets your colours consistent, but your layouts stay where they are. It's cheap, and for an internal deck it's often all you need.

A redesign goes further. Each slide gets rebuilt around your content, charts get redrawn, and walls of text turn into something people can actually take in. Most client-facing decks need this level.

Then there's the full custom build. Someone works on your message before any design happens, and the slides are made from scratch. That's where agencies earn their highest fees, and where timelines stretch into weeks.

Master templates (the bit most teams skip)

A master template is a branded PowerPoint or Google Slides file with the layouts, fonts and colours locked in. Your whole team builds from it, so every deck starts on-brand instead of drifting a little further off it each quarter.

It's usually priced as its own project. Stinson Design quotes three to six weeks for a template system. Hype Presentations prices templates (typically 15–25 layouts) on application. If your team makes more than a handful of decks a month, a solid master template will probably save you more time than any one redesign.

Presentation design services compared: one 20-slide deck, 5 ways

Here's the same 20-slide sales deck across all five routes.

Option 20-slide deck price Billing Turnaround Best for
Templates and AI tools $15–$45/month Monthly Same day (you do the work) Internal decks, tight budgets
Freelancer Varies widely ($35–$250/hour) Per project Varies One-off decks with clear content
Per-slide service (24Slides) $320–$1,320 Per slide 24–72 hours (10 hours on Pro) Quick fixes and steady redesigns
Specialist agency From £1,900 for ~10 slides, plus ~£975 per extra 10 (Hype); $1,500 minimum (Stinson) Per project About 2 weeks (Hype); 2–4 weeks (Stinson) Keynotes, high-stakes pitches, full storytelling
Design subscription $549–$10,000+/month Monthly, recurring Most requests within one business day* Teams with decks every month, plus other design work

*Design Shifu's published turnaround. Bigger decks can take longer.

How we worked these out: per-slide totals are 20 times the provider's published per-slide price. Agency figures are published package prices, not a quote for your deck. Subscription figures are the published monthly fees. Each price links to its source in the sections below.

Templates and AI tools

SlideUpLift's template library costs $24.99 a month, or $149.99 for a year. Beautiful.ai's Pro plan is $14.50 a month if you pay annually and $45 if you pay monthly. Either one will get you a tidy-looking deck in an afternoon.

What they can't give you is judgement. No tool is going to point out that slide 7 is trying to say three things at once, or that your best number is buried in the bottom corner of a chart. For internal updates, that's fine. For anything a client or buyer will see, get a designer to look at it. If you're still picking a tool, we've compared the best presentation software beyond PowerPoint.

Freelancers

Slidebean's guide puts freelance presentation designers anywhere between $35 and $250 an hour. That range tells you most of what you need to know. A good freelancer might get through a 20-slide deck in a day or two, so the final bill depends almost entirely on who you hire.

For a one-off project with clear content, a freelancer is often a great choice. It gets harder when you need the same person every month and they've just taken on a bigger client.

Per-slide services

24Slides is the name most people know here. On pay-as-you-go, a fix up costs $16 a slide, a redesign $43, and a full redraw $66. Prices shift depending on the deadline you choose. Pay-as-you-go orders come back in 24, 48 or 72 hours, and if you need 10-hour delivery, that's on the Pro plan.

For our 20-slide deck, that works out to $320 for a fix up, $860 for a redesign or $1,320 for a redraw. Pro costs $99 a month and drops the per-slide rates to $14, $39 and $59. It's an easy model to budget for when you need one deck. Just keep an eye on it as your volume grows, because every new slide adds to the bill.

Specialist presentation design agencies

Hype Presentations is one of the few agencies that publishes its prices. Its packages are based on around 10 slides: Refresh is £1,900 (2,500),Premiumis£3,325(4,450) and Ultimate is £8,550 ($11,400). For longer decks, Hype says extra slides cost roughly £975 per 10, with "full design and animation", and that it tailors the scope for anything over 10 slides. In other words, a 20-slide deck will cost more than the package price, and you'll want a quote. Its average turnaround is two weeks.

Stinson Design has a $1,500 minimum and usually needs two to four weeks for a deck. SlideRabbit and SodaPop Media don't publish prices; they quote per project.

Where agencies really earn their fee is high-stakes work: a keynote, a pitch that could make your quarter, a deck whose story needs rebuilding from the ground up. For the routine monthly report, that same fee is a lot harder to justify.

Design subscriptions

With a subscription, you pay a flat monthly fee for a design team. Presentations sit in the same queue as everything else you need designed, from social graphics to ads and reports.

  • Design Shifu: $549 a month (Starter), $749 (Growth) or $1,099 (Scale), with no contract. Presentation decks are included from the $549 Starter plan, as part of its print and digital requests. Most requests come back within one business day, Monday to Saturday. Every plan comes with two designers, an account manager and source files, and you own 100% of what we make.
  • ManyPixels: $699 a month billed monthly. Presentations are included on its entry plan, according to its pricing page.
  • Hype Presentations: subscriptions start at £1,900 ($2,500) a month.
  • 24Slides Premium: from $2,950 a month, with a dedicated team.

One honest trade-off. General design subscriptions mostly design the content you give them. They don't usually write it. So if your message itself needs work, an agency's storytelling tier might be the better buy for that particular deck.

How much do presentation design services cost per month?

Pricing a single deck is easy. Trouble is, most teams don't make a single deck. They make several, every month, and that changes the maths.

A worked example: six months of team decks

Let's say your marketing and sales team needs this every month:

Estimated Monthly Slide Requirements

Monthly item Slides (assumed)
Webinar or event deck 15
Monthly client or board report 10
Sales deck updates 5
Per month 30
Over six months 180

Six-Month Cost for 180 Slides

Route Six-month cost How we got it
24Slides, pay-as-you-go, fix up $2,880 180 × $16
24Slides, pay-as-you-go, redesign $7,740 180 × $43
24Slides Pro, redesign $7,614 6 × $99 + 180 × $39
ManyPixels Advanced $4,194 6 × $699
Design Shifu Starter $3,294 6 × $549
Design Shifu Growth $4,494 6 × $749

Please read these as rough, indicative costs. They're based on our assumptions, not on quotes, and they aren't perfectly like-for-like either. A 24Slides fix up, a 24Slides redesign and a general design subscription are different levels of work. Per-slide pricing only covers slides, while a subscription fee also covers whatever else you send, like social posts, ads and one-pagers.

There are limits on the subscription side too. Plans cap how many requests run at the same time, and how quickly each one comes back. They also define what's covered. Check all of that against your real volume before you sign up. And if your slides only ever need a light fix up, per-slide pricing will probably come out cheaper.

Even with those caveats, the pattern is clear enough. Per-slide pricing climbs with every slide you add. A flat fee gets cheaper per slide the more of the plan you use, up to the plan's limits.

Making decks every month? See whether a Design Shifu plan fits your team's volume. Plans start at $549 a month, with no contract.

When a subscription isn't the right choice

We'd steer you elsewhere in a few situations. If you need one complex, high-stakes deck with a lot of storytelling, such as a conference keynote or a major investor pitch, a specialist agency is worth the money. If you only need the occasional clean-up, a few slides a quarter, paying per slide will cost you less than a monthly fee. And if what you really need is someone to write your message rather than design it, most general design subscriptions aren't set up for that.

What pushes the price up

Storytelling and copywriting are the biggest factor. Hype's Ultimate tier, which includes storytelling, costs more than four times its Refresh package. After that, it's usually custom charts and infographics, since rebuilding data visuals takes far longer than restyling text. Animation matters if you're presenting live (an emailed deck rarely needs it). Tight deadlines cost more too: 24Slides' per-slide price changes with the turnaround you pick. And if you don't have a brand template yet, every deck starts from zero, which means paying for the same setup work again and again.

How do you choose a presentation design service?

Mostly, it comes down to two things: how much is riding on the deck, and how often you need one. Beyond that, a few questions will save you a lot of pain later.

Questions to ask before you hire

  1. Will I get native, editable files? You want the actual PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote file, not just a PDF. Stinson, for one, delivers native editable files as standard.
  2. Who owns the design and the template? Get it in writing. At Design Shifu, clients own 100% of the designs.
  3. How many revisions are included? Hype's Refresh package, for example, includes one round of up to four hours. Where a provider promises "unlimited" revisions, ask how long each round takes.
  4. How do you handle confidential data? Stinson's setup is a good benchmark: a mutual NDA, AES 256-bit encryption, multi-factor authentication and a fully in-house team. 24Slides will sign an NDA on request.
  5. Will the deck be accessible? Ask the designer to follow Microsoft's accessibility guidance. That means alt text on visuals, a unique title on every slide, a sensible reading order and strong colour contrast.

How to brief a presentation designer

Whoever you hire, a good brief will save you at least one round of revisions. Send your final content, even if it's rough: slide text, speaker notes and the data behind any charts. Include your brand kit (logo, colours, fonts and any master template you already have). Tell the designer who the audience is and what the deck needs to achieve, because "win a renewal from a CFO" and "train new hires" call for very different slides. Share two or three decks you like, and one you don't. And give them your real deadline, with a day built in for review before you present.

When should you use a presentation design service instead of doing it yourself?

Doing it yourself makes sense for internal updates, rough drafts, and teams that already have a strong master template. Our guide on how to make an effective PowerPoint presentation covers the basics.

It's time to bring someone in when the deck is going in front of clients, buyers, investors or a conference audience. Or when your team is spending hours nudging text boxes instead of selling or marketing. Or when decks from different people look like they came from different companies. And definitely when you need the same quality every month, not once a year.

Conclusion: match the service to how often you present

There isn't one best presentation design service. The right choice depends on how often you need decks and how much is riding on them.

For one high-stakes deck, like a keynote or a big pitch, a specialist agency is worth it. For occasional decks that just need tidying, a per-slide service or a good freelancer keeps costs predictable. And if you need decks every month, alongside other design work, a design subscription may be the better fit, because you pay one recurring fee instead of starting a new project each time.

Whatever you choose, compare file formats, revision limits, turnaround and ownership before you pay. If your team presents every month, take a look at Design Shifu's presentation design service and see whether a plan fits. Plans start at $549 a month.

FAQ

How much do presentation design services cost?

Per-slide services like 24Slides charge 16–66 a slide on pay-as-you-go. Specialist agencies usually start somewhere around 1,500–2,500 a project, and Hype's packages run from £1,900 to £8,550 for about 10 slides. Design subscriptions charge a monthly fee, from $549 to more than $10,000.

Can I pay someone to make my PowerPoint presentation?

Yes. A freelancer, a per-slide service, an agency or a design subscription can all do it. Send your content, your brand kit and your deadline, and ask for the native PowerPoint file so your team can edit it later.

How long does presentation design take?

Per-slide services like 24Slides deliver in 24 to 72 hours, or in 10 hours on the Pro plan. Agencies usually take two to four weeks. Design Shifu delivers most requests within one business day, though larger decks can take longer.

What's the difference between a fix up and a redesign?

A fix up tidies your existing slides without changing the layout. A redesign rebuilds the layout and visuals on each slide from your content. On 24Slides' pay-as-you-go pricing, that's the difference between $16 and $43 a slide.

Can I edit the presentation after it's designed?

You should be able to. Ask for native editable files and a master template before work starts. If all you get is a PDF, every small change has to go back to the designer.

Are presentation design services confidential?

Most providers will sign an NDA. Stinson Design and 24Slides both say so on their websites. Before you share financial or client data, ask how files are stored and who can see them.
